I am constantly amazed at the outpouring of community support for ENLL. From the board of directors to the volunteer coaches, managers, team moms (and dads), schedulers, equipment managers, player agents, website developers, accountants, snack bar managers.....you get the idea. We have nearly 100 parent volunteers who support our 450 participating families. Their support is unending, selfless and often goes unrecognized. Along with our volunteers we are proud and fortunate to have a number of community businesses and individuals - many who have played for ENLL in their youth - who continue to offer their time and charitable contributions. All-in-all, we're a true community youth sports program with a 22 year history and an alumni of over 3,000 kids!
As a league we have made it our goal to develop the best program possible. We want both the players and their families to not only value and enjoy their time spent at the ballpark today but maintain a memorable experience as they reminisce as years pass by. Baseball is a large part of our community and we strive to make sure that every child who wants to play baseball in ENLL is given the opportunity.
This year we've estimated that it will cost approximately $212 to support one child in our league. Annually we review our budget and are constantly reminded of the costs associated with running a community league and the rising burden placed on the league due to city and school district budget constraints. In addition to field rental and maintenance fees other annual costs include uniforms, equipment, umpire fees, insurance, dues and pictures. Despite all of the costs, we've been very effective at maintaining very reasonable registration fees ($125 for T-Ball and $140 for Rookie, AA, AAA & Majors). The difference is offset by registration donations, opening day and other community fund raising efforts.
During the online registration process you are given an option to support one or more players by funding their registration fees for the season. Last year over 100 families contributed anywhere from $5 to $140 and we were able to support a number of players who, due to financial limitations, would not have been able to play without your support. This year we're asking for your support again. Every dollar counts.
Lastly, this year we’re embarking on added field improvements that will include more shade structures and additional bleachers for T-Ball and Rookie fields.Your help with these projects is appreciated and invaluable to the foundation of ENLL as well!Your help makes a difference!
